Cloud Foundry Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a true DevOps environment leveraging emerging technologies. The analyst will work closely with engineering and development teams to implement and support the suite of Pivotal Cloud Foundry services in Ford’s internal and external (Azure) cloud. Pivotal is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) technology supporting the One IT Key Big 6 Initiatives, through:

• Fast application development and deployment
• Highly scalable and available architecture
• DevOps-friendly workflows
• Reduced chance of human error
• Multi-tenant compute efficiencies
• This position will require the individual to stay abreast of the continual evolution of technology and understand how Pivotal Cloud services (Elastic Runtime, RabbitMQ, Redis, etc.) integrate into the Ford environment to fit customer needs.
• The analyst will collaborate closely with customers, engineering SMEs, and product vendors to understand and optimize the cloud services.

Responsibilities:

• Highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and an understanding of emerging technologies (including Cloud Native Platforms)
• Perform at an extremely high level of technical competence and maturity
• Communicate effectively with all spectrum of users and technicians
• Assess and resolve business user needs

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience with system engineering or operational user support
• 2+ years of experience with virtual computing

Preferred experience:

• Experience with ITIL processes including incident and request management
• Functional knowledge of Cloud based technologies
• Understanding of Networking and Network Architecture
• Understanding of Containerization
