Global Powertrain Cooling Fan Core Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Develop, design and implement Powertrain Cooling Fan functionalities. Analyze electrical connectors, interfaces and control system requirements and ensure that all components meet these requirements. Develop core foundation documents, such as component DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams and engineering specifications related to cooling fans.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
- 1 year of experience ensuring that global supplier base components meet all functional requirements
- 1 year of experience providing engineering support during the design and manufacture of electric and mechanical cooling fan characteristics
- 1 year of experience leading the development of Powertrain Cooling Fans
- 1 year of experience applying EMC requirements to electrical connectors, interfaces, and control systems for Automotive Industry
- 1 year of experience developing core foundation documents for cooling fans
- 1 year of experience supporting PPAP reviews
- 1 year of experience leading cooling fan prevent recurrence actions and documenting results
- 1 year of experience providing technical guidance regarding cooling fans to global engineering teams for core engineering department
- 1 year of experience leading cross-platform issue resolution
- In lieu of the above, the employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently
