This position will support the Intelligent Customer Interaction space within Global Data Insights and Analytics helping to leverage Ford’s data as an asset to better communicate in a more proactive and meaningful way with our customers.
Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into detailed specifications and writing the program codes.
Development of prototypes based on functional systems requirements. Development of production-ready solutions.
Design solutions that consider reuse opportunities and meet usability guidelines and corporate standards.
Create testing strategy, test cases, and test data as per system dependencies.
Successful completion of functional testing in Dev/QA/ Production environments.
Run defect triage meetings for issues.
Support production system functionality issue resolution testing (supporting UAT).
Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.
Preparation of training manuals for users.
Responsible for critical performance characteristics, security measures, and other application development considerations.
Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
Write and execute SQL queries to analyze data.
Assist in providing development estimates to Product and Program Managers.
Ensure adherence to appropriate standards and processes.
Job Description:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of experience with development/quality testing on multiple projects
5+ years of experience with three of the following: JavaScript (or another scripting language), Java/C# (or another object-oriented language), XML/HTML, or SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with statistics
Experience in creating the testing strategy, detailed test cases and creating test data.
Experience with Agile SDM or willingness to learn.
Experience understating business process flows and system dependencies.
Experience with manual/automated testing, and an interest in test driven development (TDD) or willingness to learn.
Strong communication skills and interest in a pair-programming environment.
Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems.
Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
Team-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Interest and ability to grow skill set and cross-train in multiple technologies.
Experience with a Content Management System (CMS).
Experience with web analytics tools.
