Job Description
Position Overview/Description:

Ford is looking for an experienced developer who has deep knowledge and expertise in Secure Coding. The candidate must be familiar with past and recent known vulnerabilities and how to handle them in the code. This candidate will provide guidance to developers on how to “Design Security In” to minimize rework. The candidate must have developed Web and/or Mobile applications and must know the full lifecycle using Agile practices. Duties involve writing security reusable frameworks, automated tests to be embedded in Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline, evaluating third-party tools that provide static/dynamic code analysis, project management, presentations to senior management, and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work very closely with our DevOps and Quality control/Test Automation teams to automate Static Code Analysis into the Continuous Integration process. Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Jira, Nexus, GitHub and other CI tools is highly desirable.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience developing/delivering web/mobile/embedded software
  • 2+ years' demonstrated experience in 2 or more of the following development environments - Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), J2EE, C/C++, Mobile App (iOS, Android).
  • 1+ years of experience with/exposure to DevOps concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, Nexus
  • 1+ years of experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with scripting tools
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines / Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter capable of operating independently and adapting to dynamic needs
  • Business acumen in Product Development, Embedded software, Security and Control, Project Management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timelines
  • Education: Master's degree in a Technology field preferred
  • Embedded coding (C/C++) experience is preferred
