The Data Ops Analyst role resides within the Ford GDIA organization which was formed to support Ford’s Blueprint for Mobility strategy and the OneFord Plan for profitable growth. In this role, you will be creating production data products as well as providing customer support and assisting in resolving issues for those products.
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, MIS, economics or any related STEM field
2+ years of experience developing commercial production data products including addressing questions and issues raised by purchasers of data products
3+ years of experience running queries and compiling data for analytics in connection with data management, performing transaction and analytical data modeling , and performing command line loading and manipulating files in Hadoop, including the use of SQL
1+ year of experience building visualizations using Tableau or Qlikview
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing command line loading and manipulating files within HDFS for Big Data and NoSQL technologies including Greenplum or Hadoop, experience writing SQL queries for data analysis
Experience performing transactional and analytical data design and data architecture
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
Strong interpersonal, and leadership skills, with proven abilities to communicate complex topics to leaders and peers in a simple, clear, plan oriented manner
Strategic and clear thinking to translate discreet and complex ideas to business-driven results
Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate well with others, to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
