Ford is looking for Product Managers that embrace lean and agile practices. Product Managers will work on small, cross-functional, and co-located teams. The Product Manager will collaborate directly and continuously with software engineers and designers, and will release early and often.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Partners to understand their product vision and break it down into an actionable backlog for the development team.
Regularly engage users to test theories and obtain feedback
Lead a balanced team through prioritization, planning, and delivery of software that addresses user needs.
Develop a deep understanding of the product space; understanding the problems to be solved, competitive landscape, and unique value proposition.
Advocate the iterative development approach, focused on delivering product value thoughtful and deliberate prioritization.
Help innovate and iterate on product-driven processes, share best practices, learnings, and successes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of Product Management, Business Analyst, or Solution Architecture experience
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps
Experience developing and managing backlogs; collaborating closely with engineers and designers
Experience articulating and validating product hypotheses; leveraging user empathy
Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps and get things done in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt the communication style for the audience
Ability to quickly understand a specific domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
Experience leading or supporting user research
Experience mentoring other Product Managers
Prior experience in software development or design
