Ford’s Global Data, Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) organization is a rapidly expanding group within Ford Motor Company that supports all of our skill teams (e.g. Purchasing, Product Development, Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.). We are seeking a Supervisor in the area of Forecast Modeling for Business & Sales Planning Analytics subgroup.
Business & Sales Planning Analytics subgroup focuses on the following topic areas: market demand analysis and forecast, applied econometrics, microeconomics, machine learning, longitudinal data analysis, Bayesian statistics and survival analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the following activities
    • Volume and pricing forecast for business plan
    • Product development analysis and special projects
    • Alignment with operations, near term forecasting, residual value and physicals forecasts
  • Apply and integrate latest analytical tools developed by modeling team
  • Identify potential model updates and improvements
  • Engage with business customers, including M&S finance and marketing teams
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for management and business customers
  • Support leadership team in the follow areas
    • Participate in recruiting new talent
    • Train and coach team members
    • Set priorities, allocate resources, guarantee delivery quality and timing

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experiences in hands-on mathematical modeling
  • 1+ years of modeling methodologies, including economics, econometrics, statistics, and/or data mining

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Auto industry related work
  • Prior experience in supervisory role highly preferred
  • Auto marketing and sales experiences
  • Familiar with various modeling methodologies, including economics, econometrics, statistics, data mining
  • Significant experience with SAS, utilizing large datasets; Familiarity with R, and Python highly preferred
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fast learning and ability to be hands on and curious
  • Communication skills, including ability to synthesize and explain complex concepts
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business partners
