Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC. Is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to join our team. This position is best suited to someone with strongProperty & Casualty insurance industry experience. The ideal candidate will be an experienced insurance professional with a strong understanding of the P&C business including compliance, regulations, industry knowledge, development and reading of contracts.
This position will be located in Dearborn, MI.
Responsibilities:
Acquire a deep understanding of Ford Credit Insurance Operations including The American Road Insurance Company’s products, programs, operations and corporate governance
Develop documentation of various products and processes to assist with future education of department employees
Participate in day to day management of products, services and associated processes as assigned
Complete analysis of product or program results; identification of trends, opportunities, issues and corrective actions where applicable
Assist with product pricing and policy language reviews
Understand internal and external customer relationships on various products
Learn the regulatory environment monitoring captive insurance companies as well as internal compliance processes
Complete industry research on competitive products and services
Create and present select product or program updates to senior management
Partake in procedure reviews and updates where required
Integrate Six Sigma methodology for improved process efficiency and reduction in costs
Participate in vendor management and applicable reviews
Identify and implement applicable Operational Identifiable Comments (OICs) and corrective actions
Support international product managers in development and oversight of insurance programs
Lead and/or act as a subject matter expert (SME) on special projects as required
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of Property & Casualty insurance industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of Property & Casualty insurance industry experience in underwriting OR compliance and/or product management / product development
Experience in P&C insurance claims handling and compliance is highly preferred
Knowledge of Captive Insurance Company requirements and standards is a plus
Self-motivated and strong drive for results

Ability to identify and implement process improvements and cost reductions
