Job Description Position Duties
Prepare and maintain ISO 26262 Functional Safety work products for the Electric Drive (eDrive) Systems team including: Item definition, Hazard Analysis (HARA), Functional Safety Concept and the Safety Requirements Specification
Interface with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure proper cascade / allocation of functional and technical safety requirements
Assist application teams assess supplier Functional Safety work product documentation for completeness
Collaborate with Functional Safety teams throughout the company to ensure consistent application of the ISO 26262 standard
Prepare and present project status reports at team / management reviews
Establish self as the go-to person within the eDrive team for assessing new technologies against the corporate aligned Functional Safety process
Position Requirements
B.S. in Engineering
1+ years system engineering experience (coursework allowed)
1+ years of experience capturing requirements and developing engineering specifications (coursework allowed)
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. Engineering
Working knowledge of Hybrid / xEV powertrain systems
Systems modeling (SysML/MATLAB/Simulink) experience
Prior experience applying the ISO 26262 standard to automotive safety projects or similar safety standards in a non-automotive industry
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
