Job Description
This person will be evaluating and recommending how solutions will be solved while working with existing. Will also engage with IT Suppliers and Startups to develop and enhance Ford’s ability to solve difficult business problems. Finally, this individual will Influence existing partners on Ford’s needs and how their roadmaps can be leveraged to move faster.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree
•6+ years of experience with API methods and implementation technologies such as web services in a distributed architecture deployments
•6+ years of experience with frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns
•6+ years of experience as lead architect on multiple large-scale product or enterprise initiatives, including Cloud Architecture
•6+ years of experience with J2EE technologies, Rest Web Services, Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, MVC and Spring Cloud Services) and Messaging architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
•Application Architect experience in understanding technical business requirements and define technical architecture based solutions that align to Ford Motor Company’s Standards.
•Full application / system development lifecycle knowledge and experience
•Expertise in interoperability standards and methods
•Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making
•Support the application team in the development of the technical designs and documentation
•Ability to provide support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues
•Ability to participate in vendor solution evaluation processes
•Strong architecture knowledge with experience in providing technical solutions for projects
•5+ years of work experience in Solution Architecture and Cloud Architecture
•Strong communication skills both verbal and written
•Experience with interoperability and the myriad of ways to exchange data effectively and securely
•Negotiation skills and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders/customers
•Self-starter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top notch solutions
•Self-researcher, ability to research a technology and provide insight to project team
•Experience implementing or supporting mobile applications, frameworks and protocols
•Experience architecting and designing public facing solutions
•Experience applying Cloud Foundry architectures (e.g Cloud Foundry, Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
•Understanding of highly available scalable global architectures (99.99 percent availability or less than 1 hour of scheduled and unscheduled downtime per year with greater than 3M global connections)
