CITY:ONE CHALLENGES
The City:One Challenges are designed to address systemic mobility inequities while informing the future of safe, sustainable, accessible, and equitable solutions. We do this by putting residents at the center of mobility design and innovation, connecting them with entrepreneurs to quickly develop and deploy new mobility solutions.

We start by focusing on the needs of an individual. Because by finding a solution to one person’s problem, we can solve larger problems that affect their community and the entire city. Through local workshops, crowdsourcing initiatives, startup and entrepreneurial networking opportunities, and citywide mobility challenges, we aim to enhance neighborhoods and ultimately entire cities.

Our City:One Challenge addresses city needs through two key perspectives—innovating mobility services and reimagining public spaces. By combining solutions from both areas, we can help the world move better—one person at a time.

"I THINK THE MOST UNIQUE PART OF THE PROGRAM IS THAT YOU HAVE FOLKS COMING TOGETHER TO TRY TO FIND A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION. THERE IS NO ONE SOLUTION TO MOBILITY PROBLEMS. MOST CITIES, MOST LARGE METROPOLISES HAVE THE SAME KIND OF ISSUES, WE HAVE THE SAME KIND OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND SO SOMETHING THAT CAN WORK HERE TO HELP LESSEN OUR TRAFFIC PROBLEMS, COULD PROBABLY WORK AROUND THE WORLD."
Carlos A. Gimenez
Former Mayor of Miami-Dade County
