We’re committed to promoting teen driver safety and sponsoring programs to help teens stay safe on the road. To address the specific needs of young women drivers, we’re conducting a series of car care clinics at Ford dealerships across the country.
Teaching Safe Driving Strategies
Together with SafeSmartWomen, a national nonprofit specializing in auto safety, we’re conducting a series of Car Care Clinics across the country. Attended by Girl Scouts earning their "Car Sense" badges, these interactive clinics are led by automotive experts in the dealership's service bay.
Our car care clinics give young women and their mothers a hands-on opportunity to learn preventive maintenance and personal safety tips by focusing on the following concepts:
- Using vehicle safety features
- Purchasing a safe car
- The importance of basic car maintenance
- Developing awareness skills to improve driver safety
- Personal security
- Careers in the auto industry
