SUMMARY:
- Ford Fiesta Movement June missions had agents getting a behind-the-scenes look at OMGPOP’s new video game featuring Fiesta, creating a music video with Stadiumred and visiting Creative Picture to get a look at how movie cars are made
- Since the Fiesta Movement launched in late April, agents have traveled 363,000 miles across the country
- More than 11,600 consumers have test driven a Fiesta through the Fiesta Movement’s test drive tour, which is scheduled to visit at least 100 cities through December
CONTEXT / BACKGROUND:
As part of the Fiesta Movement social media initiative, 100 young trendsetters are test driving and living with a European-spec Fiesta for seven months, traveling as agents on special missions. They then relate their experiences through a variety of social media sites.
The videos are in and Fiesta Movement agents have demonstrated what they do best – showcasing their Fiestas online in the midst of the adventures. June missions took agents through the world of technology, immersing them in something new and exciting. Whether touring a garage where the famous cars of Hollywood are tucked away, creating a music video or learning the latest and greatest about social games, Fiesta Movement agents had a blast. They generated more than 13.4 million consumer impressions through various social media platforms, including YouTube, Twitter and Flickr.
DETAILS:
Agent videos for Fiesta Movement June missions are in, and they show off the creative, goofy and adventurous sides of agents. And people are paying attention, with Fiesta Movement agents generating more than 13.4 million impressions (people who have seen content produced by agents) through the first quarter of the Fiesta Movement.
A few videos that pushed the limits of creativity and humor include:
- A video by agent Jake B. for his mission “In the Studio.” Visiting Stadiumred recording studios, Jake was invited to spin the mixer for Jeremy Carr as he records a song just for Jake’s mission video. Jake also got to put his creativity to the test, wrapping up the video with a music video created just by him.
Jake makes a statement in this video by showing up in a helmet and sunglasses, and is ready to make a video. The music video flashes between studio shots of Jeremy recording the song and Jake working the mixer, as well as Jeremy and Jake cruising the streets of New York together in the Fiesta. - A video by agent Jody G. for her mission “OMG OMGPOP!” Visiting the headquarters of OMGPOP, a creator of online social gaming, Jody got to learn about the processes behind game ideation, strategy and the newest themes coming out of OMGPOP.
Jody sat down with an employee and learned more about the game Hover Cart, which features a Ford Fiesta. Learning details of the thought process behind the games, Jody now has a keen understanding of these social games. She even got a hands-on experience of the game – she got to try it out for herself in their offices. Check out the video at http://www.fiestamovement.com/missions/view/146
- A video by agent Brittani T. for her mission “Gone in 60 Seconds.” If you ever wondered where Austin Powers got his ride or where Hollywood finds the coolest cars, Creative Studios is the place, and Brittani got to tour the garage and check out all the cars as part of her mission.
Brittani also got to see cars that are being prepped for upcoming movies. The highlight of her tour was getting to see “Eleanor” from the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds.” Brittani wrapped up her tour by letting her guide, a former stunt driver, take the Fiesta for a spin. Fiesta Agents Visit Ford
June missions also brought Fiesta Movement agents to visit Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. Agents Bryan Redeker and Mandy and Joel toured the test facilities to take a look at the technologies that go into the vehicles at Ford.
Bryan experienced the driving simulator VIRTTEX, and toured Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) facilities. An SVT fan for more than a decade and one who races SVT products, Bryan talked with SVT engineers and got a ride-and-drive in their new Shelby GT500 and F-150 SVT Raptor.
Mandy and Joel got an up-close look at the safety and security of Ford vehicles and the testing that goes into them. They toured the crash-test facilities and saw demonstrations as well as two real crash tests. This was the perfect fit for them, as Mandy is a blog editor for a site dedicated to parenting, and Joel runs his own security business.
July Mission – Style and Design
The month of July has Fiesta Movement agents taking on the world of style and design. July missions have agents visiting the workspace of up-and-coming designer Rebecca Turbow, finding out as much as possible about New York City’s High Line project and hanging out at Essence Festival 2009. Throughout the month and after its completion, followers can keep up with agent activity on the Fiesta Movement Web site’s live feed – www.fiestamovement.com.
Chance to Drive a Fiesta
With a kick-off in May and running through December, five regional test drive teams representing the Fiesta Movement are traveling across the country to engage consumers with the opportunity to test drive a European-spec Fiesta.
The Fiesta Movement test drive is drawing huge numbers with 11,864 total test drives and 56,533 walk-arounds.
The teams will visit at least 100 cities over the eight months, with a goal of 100,000 test drives overall. Stops will be in small towns and big cities, as well as at major and regional events and festivals. Information about drive stops, including monthly calendars, is available on www.fiestamovement.com under the “Test Drive” section. Visitors to the site also can sign up to receive test drive updates as they become available.
