BRENTWOOD, Essex, 8 December, 2009 – Judges at Britain's leading van magazine, What Van?, have recognised Ford's range of commercial vehicles as winners and leaders in their 2010 awards.
The top prize for small vans went to the all-new Ford Fiesta Van. What Van? editor, Neil McIntee, said: " Back with a vengeance, Ford’s all-new Fiesta Van is the hugely deserving winner of What Van?’s Small Van of the Year award. No matter which model you opt for, Fiesta Van is fun to drive. For your money you get responsive steering with plenty of feedback. The handling is sharp, the gearchange is slicker than slick and user-friendly and the driving position is little short of excellent."
Transit collected the Best Security award for the sixth successive year and Transit Connect won Best Security for the eighth time. Transit Minibus triumphed for a fourth consecutive year. Transit One-Stop-Shop programme and Transit Small Panel Van are both highly commended, and the new Ford Ranger is highly commended in the 4x4 category.
Commercial vehicles director for Ford of Britain, Steve Kimber, said: "This success is a testament to the investment we continue to make in developing the workhorse vehicles that British businesses need. Recognition from one of the industry's key magazines is a magnificent endorsement."
