News CenterC-MAX Energi earns accolade from Green Car Journal
The Ford C-MAX Energi has been named Green Car Journal’s 2012 Green Car Vision Award™ winner at the Washington Auto Show. Editors note C-MAX Energi delivers on efficiency and versatility, while its engineering “enables straightforward use of a common platform for a wide range of uses, buyers, and worldwide markets at manageable cost.” C-MAX Energi will be built on Ford’s global C-segment platform and is one of five electrified vehicles the company will launch in North America in 2012. C-MAX Energi is expected to deliver a better fuel economy equivalent in electric mode than the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid with a 500-mile overall driving range – more than the Chevrolet Volt.
