Unlike other single-seater series in the U.K., Formula Ford is not a one-make championship. By allowing freedom of chassis design, engine build and numerous technical items of specification on the car, the technical standards for both teams and drivers are exceptionally high. This encourages accelerated training for drivers and technicians. Only F1, F3 and Formula Ford follow this concept.
