The Global Diversity and Inclusion Summit has been held for the past 12 years, honoring those individuals and teams who exemplify ONE Ford Behaviors. These honorees strive to make a difference in the workplace and in the communities in which they live.
This year produced over 500 nominations from around the globe. Through a rigorous selection process 34 individuals and teams where chosen for this prestigious award.
Corporate Honorees are recognized in the following categories:
Leading the Way
The nominee demonstrates personal commitment to global ONE Ford leadership, makes a significant contribution to the team by fostering excellence, working together inclusively, and role modeling Ford values in all interactions.
Leveraging a Diverse Workforce
The nominee exhibits an understanding of the value of diverse teams and partnerships to capitalize on business and market opportunities, actively participating in attracting and developing a diverse workforce. The nominee may be involved in recruiting, serve as a member of a Personnel Development Committee (PDC), be active on an Employee Resource Group or Local Diversity Council, or any other employee group.
Fostering a Respectful & Inclusive Environment
The nominee demonstrates Working Together behaviors by building a collaborative environment that inspires and involves employees and leverages diverse perspectives inside and outside of the team. This person encourages respect, open communication, and recognition of the unique talents and perspectives needed to achieve ONE Ford.
Promoting Worklife Flexibility
To support a global culture of flexibility, this nominee leverages technology and/or explores new ways that focus on results, not "face time" to get things done. This person fosters supervisor-team collaborations around flexibility in the workplace to find solutions that work for all.
Strengthening External Partnerships
The nominee builds strong relationships with customers, dealers, investors, suppliers, unions/councils, communities, colleges/universities, etc. to help Ford work as one team. This person supports our corporate brand and talent pipeline efforts by their active participation in corporate citizenship, sustainability, education, and sponsorship initiatives.
