This year, Lincoln distinguished itself from the competition with exceptional interior design that won two awards. These awards showcase our commitment to the design and quality that we're executing across all of our vehicle lines.
Award-Winning Interiors
For 2007, Lincoln MKZ and Lincoln Navigator were awarded "Interiors of the Year" in their respective categories at the 8th annual Automotive "Interior of the Year" awards conducted by Ward's Auto World magazine.
Lincoln MKZ-Unpretentious Luxury
For the second year in a row, industry voters recognized Lincoln MKZ with the "Premium-Priced Car Interior of the Year" award. MKZ beat out other luxury car nominees including Infiniti G35, Lexus LS 460, Jaguar XK and Volvo S80.
Lincoln MKZ features genuine materials, including real wood, high-quality leather, satin nickel and chromed trim. White electro-luminescent lighting illuminates the round, chrome-ringed gauges, complementing the interior's white lighting, which uses white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to backlight controls and switches at night.
Lincoln Navigator-Luxurious Refinement
The 2007 Lincoln Navigator was recognized as the "Premium-Priced Truck Interior of the Year" by the Ward's editorial staff over tough competition that included Cadillac Escalade, Chrysler Aspen, Nissan Quest and Land Rover LR3.
Redesigned for 2007, Lincoln Navigator is filled with details that speak to the luxurious refinement with the harmonious use of chrome, wood and satin-nickel. The flow-through center stack features a stain-nickel base surrounded with book-matched wood trim, the leather-wrapped steering wheel has real wood accents, and chrome bright work highlights the cup-holders, door handles and console shifter.
