DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 20, 2008 – Ford asked, and Mustang enthusiasts delivered big time – just as America’s favorite muscle car has for more than 40 years.

The “Mustang Stories” contest generated thousands of entries, complete with photos from the entrants, at www.the2010mustang.com. Mustang enthusiasts now are invited to vote for the grand-prize winner by going to www.the2010mustang.com and reading the entries from the 25 finalists. Voting continues until Oct. 28, and the grand-prize winner will be announced Oct. 30.

The grand-prize winner will receive a new 2010 Mustang and an all-expenses paid trip to the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November for the reveal of what’s sure to be the most-coveted Mustang in years.

As diverse and wide-ranging as all the stories were, all conveyed the same theme: a deep-seated passion for this American icon – and a deep-seated desire to win a 2010 Mustang.

“We heard the message loud and clear: People love Mustang and can’t wait to see the new model,” said Fritz Wilke, Mustang marketing manager. “With more than 9 million Mustangs sold since its debut, we knew there were many great Mustang stories – but it’s been a tremendous challenge and a great honor to be able to find the 25 best stories from this collection.”

Ford continues to reveal elements of the 2010 Mustang each week at www.the2010mustang.com.

“Even after the contest, people should continue to visit www.the2010mustang.com to see sneak peeks of the 2010 Mustang and sign up for updates,” Wilke said. “There’s no better place to count down the days and hours before we reveal this hotly anticipated version of this American classic.”
