Ford Motor Company unveiled its 2010 Mustang at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new muscular sculptured exterior design is a modern evolution of the Mustang heritage as explained by Chief Engineer, Paul Randle.

"There is only one Mustang, only Ford Motor Company can do the Mustang. We have done it for 45 years. Uninterrupted in the market place, we have never not offered a Mustang to the customer for 45 years, and they have responded unbelievably well." :19 sec. | |||

| According to Randle, the 2010 Mustang marks new levels of both power and refinement. Under the hood the 4.6 liter, 3-valve engine has won Wards best 10 for four years in a row and is the most accessorized engine in the marketplace today. | ||||

"All of the Bullitt upgrades are going to be standard in the GT. You will get a dual spark premium strategy in the engine so you can put regular fuel or premium fuel, and all the numbers we quote will be on regular fuel premium will give you more intermediate torque." :17 sec. | |||
| The horsepower rating is 315 and 325 foot pounds of torque and that's base standard on the GT. However, from a fuel economy standpoint there will be a significant increase in real world fuel economy because of all the aerodynamic actions and the fuel actions done in the base power train. | ||||

"We are currently certifying the vehicle, but the customer can expect to see a significant change in the V-8 label. On the V-6 we've always focused on fuel economy today's V-6 manual has a 26 mpg highway label, when we reveal the numbers for the 4.6 liter 3-valve V8 we're going to be segment leading too." :21 sec. | |||
| According to Randle, from a customization standpoint, Ford will offer even more. At Job-1 you will be able to order aesthetic add-on's through the Ford Dealership, which are warranted, such as a hood scoop, side louvers, and more but Ford will also offer significant racing upgrades. | ||||

"We will allow you to purchase a kit, that's warranted through the dealer, that lowers the car to allow improved steering and handling and we will also offer two different super-chargers on the 4-6-3 valve to take your 315 horsepower up to 400 or 500 on that base engine architecture." :18 sec. | |||
