TWO TOP-10 FINISHES FOR FORD AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

Marcos Ambrose and David Ragan finished sixth and seventh respectively in the NASCAR Nationwide Race Saturday evening at Kentucky. Ambrose was the highest qualifying and finishing Ford. Ragan was the most improved driver for the second consecutive week.

MATT KENSETH FINISHES THIRD; LEADS FOUR ROUSH FENWAY RACERS IN TOP 10 AT MICHIGAN

Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion, continued his run toward the Chase with a third-place finish at Michigan on Sunday to pull to within 14 points of the top 12 in the standings. It was Kenseth’s fifth consecutive top-10. Three of his teammates – Carl Edwards (seventh), David Ragan (eighth) and Jamie McMurray (ninth) – also finished in the top-10. Dale Earnhardt, Jr., won for his first victory since 2006.

ERIK DARNELL WINS TRUCK RACE AT MICHIGAN

Erik Darnell, driver of the No. 99 Northern Tool Equipment Ford F-150, took his only lead of the afternoon with 25 laps remaining and held on to win the Cool City Customs 200 at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday. Darnell edged Johnny Benson by just five-thousandths of a second in the second-closest finish in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series history.

BRAD COLEMAN SEEKS HIS FIRST NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES WIN AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

Brad Coleman, driver of the No. 27 Cottonelle/Meijer Ford Fusion, led 36 laps and finished second, his career best finish, in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky last year. The 20-year-old also earned his first ARCA win at the mile-and-a-half track in 2006. Coleman talks about racing the bumps, competitors and capturing his first career win in the series.
