• Touchdown with Gridiron Glory
  Come Salute our newest exhibit, Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and salute the sport of football by creating your own charging football player.


• Community Maker for November 29th – Multiplexica 2014
  Veteran musician and Maker Faire inventor Curtis Glatter will be hosting a workshop about his newest multi-functional musical invention called Multiplexica2014. Four years in the Making, the invention was premiered at the 2014 Maker Faire Detroit.


• Tinker. Hack. Invent. Saturdays and the U.S. Forest Service team up to offer Museum guests a special opportunity on Saturdays on November 15th and throughout the Museum Holiday Program.
  On November 15th the Henry Ford and the U.S. Forest Service will welcome the Capitol Christmas tree to the Henry Ford as it makes on its journey to Washington DC. Visitors are welcomed to come view the tree outside the Henry Ford Museum’s clock tower. Visitors will be invited to autograph the tree’s canvas cover. The tree’s official Capitol tour runs from November 2-20th. You can track the Capitol Tree’s progress on http://www.capitolchristmastree.com/
  
  While here we encourage guests to visit the museum to create a seasonal pine cone door hanger, stop by the U.S. Forest Service display, and attend a presentation of the USTS and meet Smokey the Bear (between 2-3pm only).
  
  Then return each Saturday between November 29 – January 3, 2015 when Tinker. Hack. Invent. Saturdays and the U.S. Forest Service partner to offer a different seasonal craft each week. Pinecones, acorns, and other items from nature will be used to create ornaments, photo holders, and other beautiful items for your home. These craft activities are free and celebrate sustainability and innovation in forest products. They take place in the museum’s plaza and are in addition to our other THIS November and December activities. So join us for the festivities and celebrate the season with the U.S. Forest Service and the Henry Ford.

• Community Maker for December 27th – 501st Legion – Vadar’s Fist – Star War’s Costuming Group
  Come Feel the Force! The Legion is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity. Learn about the innovation that goes into creating these amazing costumes and take a selfie with your favorite Star War’s character.

• The Power to Go!
  Join us as we celebrate Engines Exposed inside Henry Ford Museum. Early autos ran on gasoline, steam, or electricity. Come explore the positives and negatives to these fuel options through cool power demonstrations and hands-on exploration. Tinker with magnets to learn how they help create motion. You can then apply that know-how to assemble an electric car. Car assembly not recommended for children under 8 years of age. (Upcharge to purchase assembled car)

• Engines Exposed – Internal Combustion
  Today cars run on gasoline, but how do internal combustion engines really work? Join us each Saturday in February as we explore the interworking of engines. Help create working models of pistons, cams, and valves and discover how they make us move. Then create an automaton using these same engine mechanics to create motion.

All activities are free with museum admission.
