September 27, 2014 (9am-5pm; Doors open at 8:15am)
Join us for our annual Educator Open House at The Henry Ford!
Educators receive FREE admission for you and one additional guest* to Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. PLUS receive FREE admission to the IMAX Theatre only when you attend one of our educator overview sessions!

During the open house you will have the opportunity to attend an ‘overview’ session (9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. ONLY) and learn about the exciting NEW initiatives and resources we have coming up for the 2014-2015 school year like:
  • The Henry Ford Innovation Nation TV series premiering this fall on CBS Dream Team that will tell the fascinating stories behind the world’s greatest inventions. CBS News correspondent and host of the show, Mo Rocca will be at Educator Open House so don’t miss this opportunity to see and hear from him!

Mo Rocca began his career in TV as a writer and producer for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning PBS series “Wishbone.” He went on to write for other children’s series, including “Pepper Ann” and “The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss,” a pre-school series combining the whimsy of Seuss characters with the magic of Jim Henson puppetry. Mo is the host and creator of the Emmy Award-nominated “My Grandmother’s Ravioli” on the Cooking Channel. His work on “CBS Sunday Morning” covers a range of topics, from the presidency of Millard Fillmore to a profile of hockey great Bobby Orr. Also, Rocca is a frequent panelist on NPR’s weekly quiz show “Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me!” and he spent four seasons as a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and four seasons as a correspondent on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

  • The Henry Ford Innovation Nation Teacher Innovator Awards: Learn how to nominate yourself or a teacher for the national teacher innovator award and possibly win prizes like an all-expenses paid trip for the top ten winners to The Henry Ford to attend our weeklong Innovation Immersion Workshop.

  • Innovation Learning Accelerator (ILA): Discover how to join The Henry Ford’s learning revolution and give every child in America access to critical ideas, content on innovation, and problem-solving skills enabling them to be the next 21st-century innovator or STEM practitioner. Teacher Training with innovation curricula ready for implementation for those who join ILA.
