What's RSS

RSS is a way to publish or read frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. Users of RSS content use programs call feed "readers" or "aggregators." The user subscribes to a feed by supplying their reader a link to the feed; the reader then periodically checks the user's feeds to see if any of those feeds have added new content since the last time it checked. If it detects new content, the reader retrieves that content and presents it to the user.
